  2. When will FMs 999-4 and 999-5 be published?

  3. Matt Asebedo says:

I would like your permission to use this manual for airsoft/paintball uses. I will in no way hold you responsible for the negative effects or the great you tube videos that may result from its use.

I just have one point to add….. With the advent of this (http://www.longislandpress.com/2011/06/15/heart-with-no-beat-may-save-lives/) we probably should add special precautions in case of negative confirmations on people not having a pulse.

  5. Shyla Smith says:

Why can’t civilians have a copy???? They will have to fight the Zombies too. Or are they just bait????

This field manual is perfect timing as I’m afraid it has already begun. Please read my blog for the real story. I pray we see each other on the other side, my friends. Especially if you are an electrician or a plumber. Or a doctor. Or a farmer. Or a former Hooter’s waitress. We will rebuild together!

  9. Roy says:

This Manual is amazing. I’ll definitely have to include it in my Zombie Plan. and I’m just curious, where does everyone stand on the Idea of getting a blimp? I think it would be pretty good for raiding places like Wal-Mart/Costco.

  10. Karras says:

Hey, very detailed manual. I feel safer already.

  11. Brant says:

This is awsome: Read the section on the M249 squad automatic weapon. Even the army knows soldiers have no trigger controle> If you have to use an M249 in this situation, the marine corps has a little diddy you would say to achieve the propper 5-7 round burst. Squeze the trigger and screem “Die muther fucker Die!” and there you go. You’ll have a propper 5-7 round burst and save ammo all at the same time.

    • zack says:

Well that has been around for a long time and even firing the the slowest RPM most M249 gunners are out of ammo very quickly. I carried the M249 SAW for a number of years and you would be extremely surprised how fast 1000 rounds goes and how heavy it is to carry. I carried 600 on my person and another 400 to 600 in my pack.

  12. Don says:

where in the heck can I get a manual?

  13. zombie manga says:

Its like you read my mind! You seem to understand so much approximately this, such as you wrote the book in it or something. I feel that you could do with a few % to force the message house a bit, but other than that, that is excellent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.

  14. M-Man says:

    Team Members,
Love reading the Manual, Good work! Just wanted to know – For quiet operations – Could one use arrows from a Crossbow or Compound Bow to destroy a Zombie?
    Thanks,
    M-Man

  15. SPC says:

i dont agree with the automatic weapon comment because any army automatic weapon can be switched to semi-auto and fire one round. granit it is still heavy, but if you have it mounted a .50 cal on single shot can still go through many zombies. just ask carlos hathcock.

    • Ryoga-kun says:

Because it’s way easier to carry an M4 with more ammo.

    • PV2 Palomo, US Army says:

And I don’t agree with your automatic weapon comment. You ever handle an M249? No S-1-F trigger group, just a Safe and Fire option, kinda like the safety on a shotgun. There is no Semi. Furthermore, if you think you can carry, let alone maneuver and fire an M2 Browning (which is about 84 lbs. unloaded, by the way), then you’re a much bigger man than I am.

    • Obee says:

negitive ghost rider. the M240, M249, MK19, MK47 and MK48 do not have any form of semi-automatic fire. these are fully automatice weapons. only the M-2 has single fire capability.

  16. Awesome manual! Thanks for sharing.

  17. Chief Smo says:

Looking forward to seeing the operational planning manuals. As a staff officer, it will be important during the zombie apocalypse for properly established C2 nodes throughout various regions of the country. Proper planning for day-to-day missions, as well as careful and thorough target and trend analysis will greatly facilitate the operations conducted by maneuver forces. Establishing a usable HPZL and associated target packets will be critical, as it will promote successful operations, perhaps even giving a hand to the revival of the human race.

  19. Zigg says:

after 7 years in Airborne Combat arms this manual is EPIC, although i would like to make a suggestion.

With the weight and ammo limitations, SKT (Small Kill Team) Riflemen will be armed with 22 long rifle bullpups. With a standard 30 round “banana” clip mounted behind Trigger assembly and the most widely produced ammunition in the nation. Making the bullpup carbine, ergonomic, cost effective, weight effective, and easily salvaged.

  20. _JR_ says:

Why do I feel like the word “Zombie” is just a cover word for “fed-up Americans”?

  21. Mike says:

    A must in every home.

  22. SSgt_Rock says:

This manual is arriving just in time. Obviously our training tempo will need to increase for us to be fully capable by the projected deployment period, but as the Commander of a civilian police SWAT team I can assure you that we intend to fully implement these tactics prior to Dec 2012.
Thank you. This manual will save countless lives. Hoooah RLTW!

  23. Start with a basic survival kit, then add those things
that would make life more bearable for you. Do you have prescription medication that you can’t do without for a week. In general, you want to make sure that your earthquake survival kit has enough supplies to last for three days.
